Something very odd happened in the city where I live a few years ago. Suddenly some of the elitist citizens were telling everyone who would listen that… roaches and rat droppings in a grocery store were really no big deal.

Why? Because it was their grocery store. The same expensive, high-end grocery store they had been raving about and supporting financially for years. It was easier to ignore the same infestation that would have appalled them had it happened anywhere else than admit their favorite store wasn’t quite what they had taken it to be.
